Over the months and years to come, The Local Angels will be holding regular fund raising events, which include Luncheons with an enviable guest speaker list; interesting Coffee Mornings; the already popular Book Clubs and many other innovative methods of making the Jewish community part with much needed donations in the most enjoyable ways possible !
The focal point for the donations will be Redbridge JCC (formerly Sinclair House) and Jewish Care:
Redbridge JCC offers people of all ages an enormous range of activities from bridge to football and also houses the valuable day care centre which is open Monday to Friday for older members of the community who use this facility to meet their contemporaries for reminiscing and enjoying new experiences. Redbridge JCC also run youth groups and football teams, summer play schemes and after school clubs and offer Israel education and prepare young people for trips to Israel.
Jewish Care is the largest health and social care organisation serving the Jewish Community in London and the South east, with 1,100 staff and 2,500 volunteers in 70 centres caring for more than 7,000 Jewish people, weekly. This wonderful organisation deliver much needed services to the community including Social Work, Home Care, Special Day Care for Dementia and Altzheimers sufferers, Residential and Nursing Care and much needed Mental Health Services
With logistics like this to maintain, Local Angels are dedicated to assisting in the best way they can. By raising money and awareness for OUR Jewish Community.
